As Artistic Director and a founding partner at BOLD, I seem to live and breathe design, whether it is website or graphic design. My initial foray into design after attending KU (graphic design/illustration) was in print but somewhere in the late 90's it was apparent that I needed to embrace and learn the web design industry. And, of course, before building web sites, clients still continue to need logos and design elements that work well in either print collateral pieces or online media. So while there are increasingly fewer designers with print experience, I've found that background to continue to be highly beneficial to me. In fact, creation of logos and graphic elements is still perhaps the most fun part of my job.

When not slaving away at Dreamweaver, Flash, html and other design tools, I like to relax over gardening. Not one of those well manicured gardens, mind you, but a mixture of stuff that I feel like growing - a "creative combination" that is satisfying to me but won't make the Garden Designs magazine!
