Everything BOLD does involves
the Internet. From typical web sites to sophisticated online applications,
BOLD designs and builds solutions that are easy to use, functionally
sound and stay within budgetary limits.
Web Sites
BOLD
has taken the price premium out of content management and
now includes it with every web site. Makes sense: Web sites
are outstanding communication tools. Done well, your
site will educate and inform visitors about your services,
products and people -- and make it easy to get more information.
But you must add and modify web site content on a continuous basis!
Custom Web Applications
Web
applications come into play when you're ready to put the Internet to
work. Among the tools BOLD has developed:
- Events registration online
Does your nonprofit organization hold fund raising events
like golf tournaments or scrambles, basketball nights,
book signings, silent auctions, etc.? Or, does your business
host seminars, lunch-and-learn sessions or customer appreciation
events?
This
software makes it easy to set up and manage events--even
multiple events--on your web site. Attendees can register
online, pay and even set up teams, tables or groups.
- Timekeeping for knowledge organizations
If your people need to track time worked for clients
or on projects no matter where they are, this may be for you! Set
up three levels of detail, record time, expenses and mileage, include
project budgets, and more.
- Course registration system
Students and parents log in to update personal profiles
and register for activities; the program administrator
uses a desktop application to approve requests, send e-mails,
and generate reports.
- Complaints tracking system
Authorized users log in to manage complaint details,
notes and reports; they even get reminders when important paperwork
is due. Standard letters and reports are generated using a desktop
application that pulls pertinent information from the main database.
- Searchable reference of mental disorders
We're currently building an application that will allow
users to get important information about mental disorders -- common
symptoms, treatments, when to seek help -- as well as area support
groups, workshops and seminars, and other helpful resources.
Intranets
An Intranet is accessible
only to authorized users, typically members or employees of a single
organization. Intranets are a great venue for training staff, sharing
company news, introducing new products and services, announcing new staff,
and more.
Extranets and Web Services
Many
companies today are using Extranets to connect to vendors and other strategic
partners via web services. Accessible only by authorized users, a well-designed
Extranet typically works with existing data systems to share account
information, order status, inventory levels, and other important operational
information.
